BAND BIO:
The brainchild of Richard and S. Lee Baysinger, Fateless Tears incorporates elements of many styles to develop their musical soundscape. Working from their studio located in the high plains of eastern New Mexico, the duo fuses their passions for music, life, and the unknown to create music that beckons listeners to look within themselves to find the deeper meaning in their own lives.

The road to what would become Fateless Tears would wind for many years before it would become the reality it now is. Richard first started writing and recording music in the early 90s. He and S. Lee met in 1996 while both were at college; they were married later the next year.  However, Richard and S. Lee didn’t collaborate musically until 2002 where S. Lee sang on the Manufactured Dissent tune “Take Over” which was the band Richard was in at the time.  The first glimpse are what Fateless Tears would become was when S. Lee sang lead vocals on “Liar (You Make Me),” off of Richard’s solo project release "Images from the Desert” in 2003. To date they have released 5 albums, which are detailed below.

The New EP:
S. Lee & Richard are currently working on new material for an Ep to be released in the early 2012.

“Hear, What You Have Been Missing”
Released in 2010, by Blue Freya Media, this anthology album represents a new stage in musical journey of Richard and S. Lee.  The album featured the new song “Primary” along with the reworking the songs Inner Sanctum and Cages.  It also featured the crossover song Adagio which is part 3 of the 28 minute epic “Twingence” of Richard’s Progressive Death Metal band Demise of Gideon.  The rest of the album featured 4 songs that have been long standing fan favorites.

“The Chaise”
In January of 2009 work began on the fourth album, in their quest for continued growth Richard, Paul and S. Lee worked to forge new ground with the new album.  Many of the themes for the new album revolve around the economic crisis and how it affects humanity.  On December 5th, 2009 "The Chaise" was released on RMS Records.  The albums blend many aspects from the previous three albums forming a cohesive whole to the bands musical journey.  The album was #37 on Prog Palace Radio’s top 50 albums of 2009.

“My Doom Box”
As with all things, change happens, after much deliberation, and contemplation Richard and S. Lee decided that their musical direction would continue to grow and change with the follow up to Nightborn.  As the songs developed, it became evident that Richard would be providing more growled vocals than ever before, as the tunes took a vibe more in lines with the Beauty & Beast presentation associated with many femme metal bands. This change thus limited the vocal duties of vocalist Bradley Howe. It also happened at this same time that Bradley's time and priorities were changing, so it became evident that yet another change in the saga of Fateless Tears would develop. It was also at this time Paul Evans became a member providing lead guitar and engineering duties alongside Richard. MDB was Prog Palace Radio’s #25 album on their Top 50 Albums of 2008.

In the Beginning, “In Memory’s Shadow” & “Nightborn”
In 2005, S. Lee and Richard worked with CloMek Productions, scoring and providing soundtrack material for the short film "Last Rung on the Ladder" that Fateless Tears would become a reality.  From the sessions for the soundtrack, the debut disc "In Memory's Shadow" was created.

S. Lee and Richard decided to pursue a more vocal layered direction with their next album "NightBorn." They added the vocal talents of Bradley Howe. In December 2006, the trio signed with Fossil Records and the decision was made to re-release "In Memory's Shadow" both for greater audience availability and as a way to bring in the New Year with the introduction of Bradley to the group. The tune “Scarred” was featured as a bonus track on the reissue and was written and recorded during the “NightBorn” sessions. "In Memory's Shadow" was re-mastered and released in February 2007 on Fossil Records. In June 2007 Fossil Records released "NightBorn."
